Courtyard Cafe - Fort Myers

When we arrived, the hostess didn't seem pleased with anything. I requested a table rather than a booth, and while there were many empty tables, she chose one for us. However, she informed us that sitting at a table would mean we had to wait longer. We accepted the wait honestly. Fortunately, our server, Nancy, was wonderful. She took care of everything and was knowledgeable about gluten-free options. I ordered a salmon BLT on gluten-free bread, which was prepared beautifully—well-toasted and held together perfectly. The fried green tomatoes were swapped for fresh red ones, which was a nice surprise. While the food wasn’t extraordinary, it was enjoyable. My dining companion particularly liked the dish. The baked potato was just okay, but the overall service was excellent. I also ordered a Bloody Mary after Nancy confirmed that the mix was safe for gluten-free—it was delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and the prices were reasonable. Thanks to Nancy for making our visit enjoyable!

Really cool place with some phenomenal service from the staff. I loved the funnel friars I thought they were amazing. I also tried the brownie sunflower I thought was to try and the key lime cake I thought was really good and worth the price, as well as the boom boom shrimps that it was worth trying for everyone who likes the sharp shrimp. Really cool atmosphere, not exactly what one would expect from a diner, although that was neat.

We were pleasantly surprised how good the food and the service were. Our waitress was efficient and organized. The portions were huge for the price we appreciate. We have $25 for two meals and a big ABI. In any case, it'll be back!

The food was fantastic, and our waitress was delightful. We were visiting a friend in town who wanted to give this place a try, and I’m really glad we did! There's nothing like a classic diner.
