Bidrage med feedbackI was here 7 years and one owner ago and it was Not the best bagels, not the worst. Not super clean or super dirty. Basically don't get your hopes to high and it's exactly what you expect for a neighborhood bagel shop, though this close to New York I'd expect better bagels. But I wouldn't expect a local coffee shop to be any cleaner or nicer. Giving this a 5 star cause the owner made a nice response and if i was in the area i'd go by and check it out.
I would say this is the best bagel place in Bergen County!
I never thought bagels could be this disappointing. I ordered two bagels with lox spread today, and the lox was spoiled. The smell hit me as soon as I took it out of the bag, and it was so off that it made me gag. It was clear that the lox was rotten, so I can’t understand how they could sell it. There's no doubt they must have noticed the smell and known it was bad, but they sold it to us regardless.
I can't believe they charge $8 for a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel—it feels like a total rip-off. The bagel itself is tasteless, almost like cardboard. There’s just half a strip of bacon and hardly any cheese. I’m not sure what’s gone wrong with this place, but it has definitely gone downhill. It used to be so popular that there would be a line out the door any day of the week. Now, it’s rare to see anyone here, and I understand why. The bagels lack flavor, and you're overcharged for such minimal toppings. If things don’t improve, this long-standing business might have to close its doors for good. Maybe it’s time to bring in some new management.
The customer service was a bit sluggish. The staff would take an order, prepare it, process the payment, and then assist the next customer. The sandwich was dry, and the bagel had an odd flavor.
