Bidrage med feedbackI've eaten here a good number of times, mostly for lunch. A lot of the menu items are in the mid-to high-level price range, but they usually underperform on value. The soup they serve is average. The mariquitas are not the traditional type, and nor are they up to par. The crab dip has a lot of cheese, but less flavor and a lot less crab. The one great highlight is the skirt steak. They do a great job at that. The shoestring fries are great as well, and they come with it. They have good drinks, but they are in the mid- to high-price range as well. The atmosphere is nice and the crowd is good, but for the most part, I wouldn't come solely for the food.
I was taken to The Samba Room for my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been there at least a half dozen times since. The happy hour is fun and lively. Sitting at the bar is ok although I liked being at a table. Bar can get a bit noisy, but it's fun. I'll be going there again.
I am known as a Mojito guru...and they have a variety from which to choose. They aren't the best Mojitos in town...but they are yummy! Dishes vary greatly and I have never been disappointed.
We had a nice time, sitting outside, live music, and a very nice, friendly new waiter from Azerbaijan. We will definitely go back! The description of the cost of the restaurant should be ;moderate ; not inexpensive, but definitely worth it.
Everything was AWESOME. Minor things for a quality restaurant.... Would be nice to be served from the left plates cleaned up from the right. If not drinking wine, they should remove the glass. They should also keep your drink filled. Other than that, excellent place. Upon my departure, I wanted to make an additional reservation and the guy couldn't key in his computer simple phone , so I made a comment (in Italian he WALKED AWAY saying “Don't call me that. I'm not helping her.” The other hostess had to finish my reservation. I didn't even call HIM a name in Italian, just said something to the tune of “OH PLEASE!” sarcastically because the moron couldn't even type in my phone without me repeating it 3x’s. Anyway, that was extremely rude of him. He should have apologized for his inability to listen type instead of throw a hissy fit, like he's so WONDERFUL and deserves complete and total respect for lowering himself to help me make a reservation. :
