La Granja - Fort Lauderdale

I ordered the Whole Chicken with two sides (French Fries and Salad) along with dipping sauces. Unfortunately, the chicken was bland, the fries had no flavor, and the house salad was just mediocre. I also got white rice and black beans on the side. The white rice was decent as always, but the black beans were watery and overly salty. I had a feeling they would forget the sauces I requested, and they did, as is their usual pattern. The main reason I don’t order from here anymore is their consistent oversight with the sauces. It feels like you’re paying a lot for not much at all. I was charged an extra $3.00 for the sauces I never received. I had no idea La Granja charged for sauces—I always assumed they were complimentary, until last night. This is why I recommend La Brasa instead. Their food is flavorful, and they manage high-pressure situations well. Plus, their sauces come at no extra cost and the prices are lower! It's been a while since I last ordered from La Granja. I chose it this time for the promised fast delivery, knowing La Brasa would take longer. Next time, I’ll definitely reconsider ordering from La Granja.

We really enjoy La Granja, especially the whole chicken, rice, beans, and plantains. However, we have noticed that the sauces we request aren't always provided.

I have loved La Granja Elite for years; the food is consistently excellent.

La Granja always excels when it comes to their fish dishes. During my first visit, the salad with the sauces was so delicious that I can't wait to go back. It's also a great spot for business meetings!
