Brownies Cafe - Fort Dodge

This restaurant is truly incredible and underrated! After a particularly stressful morning, my fiancée and I decided to grab a bite to eat and ended up having the most delicious breakfast ever! The food tasted like a homemade meal from my childhood, reminiscent of something my grandmother used to make when I was young. It was amazing food at a great price. Surprisingly, the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived and remained that way throughout our meal, which is a shame! The peaceful atmosphere was just what we needed to relax at that moment. I believe Brownie deserves more recognition in my opinion! We will definitely be returning and recommending it to all of our friends.

Nothing in the city was open, I called Brownies and they said they would fire it even though they were not open and we could get into the side door. Amazing service you cannot get from chain restaurants. Food was also excellent.

Delicious breakfast, everything is cooked to order by a wonderful chef. Perfect diner feel at a good price. Only wish they were open for dinner.

Meh. Ham and cheese omelet was more like scrambled eggs than an omelet. Hash browns were gloopy. Place was pretty low key, the regulars were funny and cool, coffee was decent.

Went today for lunch. The gravy tasted canned, the iced tea was horrible, the burger was ok and the grilled cheese was soggy. Sorry to say we won't be going back!
