Rio Grande Mexican - Fort Collins

We popped in for an impromptu dinner with some friends and had a fabulous time. I like the fresh and innovative take on many classic Mexican dishes. The highlight for me was the chili relleno. I opted to have them put the sauce on the side, so it stayed crispy. This was a great option! Probably one of the best rellenos ever! Everyone else was happy with their dishes, and the drinks were terrific. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the prices were very reasonable. Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options, and the staff seems willing to help diners navigate the menu. Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of gluten, free and dairy free options. It’s very easy for someone with dietary restrictions to have a terrific dinner and not miss out on a thing.

We’re told 45 minutes for a table. They tried to sit us at a high top when we had two infants with us and then told us it would be another 45 minutes. Nobody asked us if we needed anything. Nobody apologized for the wait. After 2 hours we decided we had to leave.

If I could give zero stats I would. We waited literally 2 hours for a table. Were told it would be 45 to an hour. No check in no apologies totally ignored us. We had a large party but they should have set better expectations and should have checked in but totally ignored us and frankly showed zero customer service.

Consistency is the key in both quality and service.
