Il Salone - Forster

Excellent! on the same with the best restaurants in the city, il salone is a hidden gem! fresh tasteful dishes, incredible wine map and knowledgeable friendly staff made our night a great. standouts were the scallops and crab pasta, and the selection of the charcuterie had the additional bonus of a take-home option.

Fantastic eating, amazing service, beautiful location.

My wife and I went for lunch and the location and dining room is beautifully presented with an excellent outlook to Wallis Lake. Luciano who looked after us delivers service of an international standard. We had the scallops, crab bisque, beef tartare and salmon with house made bilini’s. All the dishes were executed perfectly. AND you can get a good bottle of Chablis in Forster!! We will be back again and again.

Menu is small but delightful. Service was excellent. Food delicious. Tips for owners include at least one vegetarian option. And perhaps a couple of delicious cake options to go with the beautiful smelling coffee.

The food was full of flavour and so fresh. We walked away feeling very satisfied and not full to bursting. The calmness and chilled vibe was just what we needed. Everything was delicious…but I can’t stop thinking about the chocolate mousse!
