Rays Southern Foods - Forest Park

Absolutely amazing!!!! From food to customer service! Everything was so delicious. I've been looking for a good South style cooking for years, especially vegetables. I found my new favorite place!!! And don't forget to try the banana pudding for dessert!

That was my first visit to Rays and I was very impressed! Great prices, Ray was super cold and friendly! Ha gave me samples to try before I bought it and was just a very nice person overall. The jerk sauce and rib tips are so AMAZING! It only has enough kick, and the meat is very juicy! The Mac and the cheese have such a unique taste that it tasted nothing like me before. I also tried his blow for my drink and it was absolutely delicious! I'm glad I'm over. I also got my food super fast and I was completely satisfied.

First time here. Catfish nuggets so good! Mac n cheese gooood! Greens so good, just right juicy and tender!!!! Good price and comes to you hot and fresh. So happy can’t wait to go back!

Very impressed with Fried Cabbage. They were better than the greens which should be opposite but I ain’t mad. Greens gave me a can taste but I know how difficult it is to produce real greens for the masses on the daily. They jazzed em up so that’s fair. Cornbread slap. Turkey Wings falling off the bone and they wet baby. White Yellow Rice Perf. I knew I was gone sleep good when I bit into that Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie. Mercy. The Beef Liver was appropriate. We tried Everything Boss. Brisket off the chain and plated well. I’m coming back Lord willing

I woke up on a Thursday morning craving a “Soul Food Sunday Meal.” I choose Ray’s Southern Foods. Although I had eaten there a few other times, I normally ordered the chopped pork sandwich lunch special. Today I wanted a full Sunday dinner for lunch. I placed an online order, a Rib Tip Dinner plus an extra side rib tips with medium BBQ sauce on the side), collard greens, macaroni and cheese, potato salad and corn bread. I am typically leary about ordering ribs/rib tips I normally order chopped barbeque) at restaurants because they tend to be either undercooked or tough, but Ray’s tips were definitely neither; those tips were seasoned and smoked to perfection and very tender. I did not have to dig meat out of my teeth. The sauce was delicious perfect amount of sweet with the perfect amount of heat. I was very pleased with my meat of choice. All the sides were fresh and very tasty, and the corn bread was delicious I was glad it was not sweet). The quality and taste of the food lived up to the presentation. I placed my order online and it was ready when I got there I got there 5 minutes before I said I would), but it was still hot which tells me it had not been sitting there a very long time). The customer service was great as it always has been for me. The cashier was very friendly and personable. The price is very good, especially considering the portion size, as I was able to get 2) meals out of it. I will definitely be back when I have a taste for barbeque and/or a “Sunday Soul Food Meal”, but do not want to cook it. I love that I can get all of this in my neighborhood.
