Bidrage med feedbackWe ordered a Sunday roast and waited 40 minutes for it to arrive. When it finally came, we were shocked to see the Yorkshire pudding on top of the meat, which was then covered in cabbage that was undercooked. Additionally, the carrots and parsnips were burnt. We called over the owner to show him the issues, and he kindly offered for us not to pay for the meal. We were disappointed with our experience and decided not to return to the restaurant. We ended up leaving without paying.
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The waiting staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. I ordered kids meals that were supposed to come with beans, but they were served with peas instead. When I asked about it, I was told they were out of beans. The beef was overcooked and chewy, far from the desired pink color. The wine was good, but overpriced at £10 for 250ml. Overall, the poor quality of the food did not justify the high prices. The only positive aspect was the friendly bar staff.
We made a reservation for a family dinner with myself and my three adult children. The service at the bar was good and the menu was excellent. The waiting staff were friendly, prompt, and efficient. Unfortunately, we had to leave our meal early due to receiving some bad news. The manager of the restaurant was extremely accommodating and understanding, and I could not fault him. I would highly recommend this charming restaurant.
Really friendly staff who have no idea how to run an English pub. Food kindly served and inedible: breakfast fruit resembled zoo rations, stewed lukewarm coffee, unscrambled scrambled egg and missing ingredients . Comfortable clean bedroom upstairs but bar/dining room lacking atmosphere. Staff trying hard but miss by a very long mile..
Not recommended for Sunday lunch. Very expensive for quality. Food not well cooked. Roast potatoes and parsnips barely roasted. Meat not from joint
