Bidrage med feedbackGreat place. simple and real family restaurant. beautiful noodle and fried rice. we always have the panfried dumplings, mostly huhn and mais, pork and chunks, but we work through all. hardened huh is good. we were about 20 times, it is our too happy place when we are too tired to cook home. the prices are incredibly good. service super.
We went in and asked if it was counter or table service and they said it was table service. we then sat there for 30 minutes and were the only dunes in the customers and were completely ignored. they didn't even notice when we finally got out.
Second time we got a takeaway. The first one wasn't too bad and being very new, you hoped it got better, but sadly it has gotten much worse. The waitress is about 16 and is too busy playing with her phone to even know you walked in. The food was terrible. The salt and pepper squid was swimming in an oily mix of onions and chili. It was soggy and terrible. The dumplings were OK, but only just. Won't be going back.
Finally there is an authentic Chinese restaurant in Glebe! This place is run by a husband and wife (and their young son . The food here is delicious and cheap Make sure to get the dumplings with garlic and chilli oil as they were awesome. We also had the sichuan fried noodles which were great. My only complaint would be the ambience, but the food was great, so who really cares. Dine in for a cheap and cheerful experience or grab takeaway and eat in front of the TV :
When this place opened I thought the tacky christmas lights might signify a real chinese restaurant. the dumplings are indeed handmade but have a long way to go to reach their claimed best dumplings in Sydney . we found ours either too soggy or oily, won 't be back
