Bidrage med feedbackMaybe we made the wrong choice on the menu, but the food was not worth it. We were expecting a platter with the best of the Peruvian kitchen. However we got served a plate with nothing else than deepfried, cheap cuts of meat. Where is the love? The beef (stated on the menu) was not on there. Eventhough we mentioned, there was no compensation whatsoever. The desert was good, but not outstanding. We will probably not be back here. Staff was friendly. Restroom: super clean.
I go pick up my food I have no problems everything is full. I order on line and the little chunky Spanish lady keeps sending us a half empty rice. So I called kindly and asked her why is the rice only empty when I get it delivered through the app, but when I come pick up it's always how it should be and that's full. She got nasty right away and said if you want more rice you have to buy another rice. I said back nicely I shouldn't have to purchase another one just because your leaving it half way empty. I've been going here 2 years now and she's always nasty and has no manners. You really should think about getting rid of her, because i guarantee your losing customers and service because of her. Which in the long run leads to plenty of money lost.
The employees in the kitchen all need to be replaced. They lie about how long an order will take. I went to pick up an order at the estimated pickup time and was told it’ll take 10 more minutes. 30 minutes later, it’s still not ready. Meanwhile, in this time frame, customers were coming in, ordering, and receiving their food within a few minutes. The kitchen workers were seemingly refusing to prepare my order. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. They don’t deserve ANYONE’S business.
I ordered Take Out from Tu Casa several times in the past month and dined in for Valentine’s Day dinner. The Peruvian menu is extensive and the cost is fairly inexpensive relative to other similar restaurants. For an appetizer we ordered the Colombian sausage and fried plantains (Chorizo Colombiano and Tostones) and it was exceptional. For our main meal we ordered the Steak and Onions (Bistec Encebollado) and the Beef Stew (Carne Guisado) with yellow and white rice respectively. They provided generous portions and the food was absolutely delicious. For dessert we ordered the Flan and it did not disappoint. The Drink menu is limited but for dinner it was fine. We ordered a pitcher of the red Sangria and it was very good. For a busy day with many diners the service was okay. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We requested to move our table and they quickly accommodated us. The atmosphere is nice and they did a great job of decorating for Valentine’s Day. A negative is the location of cashier is in the back of restaurant and there was a constant flow of people and delivery workers walking past tables to pick up their orders. Additionally, they automatically add 20% gratuity to the check. While on this occasion they earned the 20% tip, I believe the level of gratuity should always be left up to the customers (unless it's a table of six or more people). When the server returned with my credit card check it displayed additional suggested tips of 18%, 20% and 25% over the total that already included a 20% gratuity. It’s important to be attentive to avoid unintended over tipping. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience at Tu Casa and highly recommend it.Service/Staff=5Food=5Drinks=4Atmosphere=4Cost=5 (a rating of 1 would be expensive)Overall=4.6
All I have to say is that the short not skinny Spanish woman that works at Tu Casa taking orders is very very VERY rude to customers. The food is EXCELLENT I have been doing takeout now from there for several years… so the food is not the question. But I am at the point now where going forward, I will only go there when she is off or not go back at all.I don’t have the time or inclination to go into any details right now. My next step is to find a way and get in touch with the owner and make a formal complaint about how rude this short chunky Spanish woman is.I have even experienced her ignoring me one day when I walked in and served her kids food who were apparently spending the day with her at work.I have been observing her for a while now and have had several RUDE encounters with her. Today I’ve had it and think that this is something that the owner needs to know.He aught to remind her that the customers are there reason she has a job… !!!There is another younger girl that works there. I believe it’s recently or I may have missed her over the years. She is pleasant and the opposite of the short chunky rude Spanish woman.. YUCK!!! she shouldn’t be serving food her attitude is nasty!!!It took a lot for me to write this but like I said earlier I have had enough!
