Long John Silvers - Forest City

I love LJS, her food is always wonderful. I'm sad there's no more. I need to drive at least 30 miles to find one. I went to the Forest City today, NC one, as usual the food was wonderful, the staff were great, but the trip through order board did not work and you had to order in the window then wait. I waited 30 minutes, not good.

If I could give more than five stars, I would, but unfortunately, our order was incomplete. We were missing two items from our takeout order, and since we live about 15 miles away, we didn’t want to make a 30-mile round trip just to pick them up. Additionally, I noticed a water leak by the beverage machine, and the counter edges were coming apart. Some paint was chipped on the pillars, and the pictures hanging on the walls looked dirty. The food was good, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing guests here due to the unappealing interior.

This is the best fast food fish restaurant around. They really know their customers and remember their orders. The staff is friendly, and the menu is excellent with reasonable prices. The baked shrimp is incredible! The fish is equally delicious, and you definitely can't overlook the Hushpuppies!

The food was excellent, as always, but what stood out during this special visit was the customer service. I'm not even sure what her name was, but when it started pouring rain, the young lady who took my order offered me an umbrella. It was completely unexpected and a delightful surprise from this younger generation. It's the small, thoughtful acts of kindness that leave a lasting impression!
