I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but we had a delightful dinner. The appetizers were plentiful with a variety of deep-fried options. We tried a selection of curries, and particularly enjoyed the tender lamb and beef. The chef/owner was dedicated to his food and checked in on us throughout the evening. The food is traditional, reasonably priced, and the extensive menu is complemented by excellent service.

In general, this restaurant is average. The saag was disappointing, as it was simply spinach leaves with cream and not finely chopped into a paste with spices. The tikka masala curry was not tandoor-cooked and lacked complexity of flavor. However, their special Lamb Rice polow dish, Dahl, and lamb curry were delicious. The best part about this place is their incredible masala chai, possibly the best in Footscray, and even Melbourne. I have been coming here since 2012 and look forward to returning soon.

I recently tried the best curry restaurant I've been to in a long time. The curries are full of flavor and definitely spicy! I highly suggest the vindaloo for those who love chili (it's super hot) and the saag for a milder option.
