L'escapade - Fontainebleau

We really did not like the look of many other restaurants in Fontainebleau, but we stumbled on this by accident. Great mid price food, served with a smile. Not the fastest service, but certainly worth the small wait (they were very busy).

The restaurant is cozy and cute. The food was good, as was the wine. I had the goat cheese salad and the sirloin steak, both of which I enjoyed. Others had the foie gras with egg (she loved it), and the steak tartare (also really delicious). We all had the dessert sampler, which was wonderful. Overall, a very nice stop.

It 's hard to find a good salad in Fontainebleau, but here it is L 'escapade ! The service is friendly, the waitress smiles and nothing is too much trouble. It 's a small bar but they really make an effort with the food It 's better than other larger, popular pretentious 'restaurants ' of which there are many in this town, these don 't give the service or the value for money anymore. Try the 7 euros cheese and wine platter. This is more like a 'local ' pub

Cuisine de tradition française, ce restaurant repris en début 2017 a su maintenir la qualité de l'accueil jusqu'à l'assiette. Affaire de passionnés du patron aux cuisiniers, établissement sain, une cave à maturation pour les viandes, des produits FRAIS, et surtout restaurant zéro surgelés ! Un habitué.
