We stopped on impulse and were greeted by a witty waiter with an Einstein hair-cut. Unfortunately he wasn't the one that served us. Sat in the alleyway as I am a smoker and ordered mussels and a turkey main-course with a goat-cheese salad with some wine. Service sucked. Took all of 1 hour to bring our meal. Surprisingly, people that came after us were served the same/similar dishes within 20 minutes. The whole episode seemed suspiciously ingrained in casual attitude - though I'd like to think we were not being singled out. The food was good though. The mussels are better in Bordeaux. The size of the servings seem to be whimsical as the portions vary from table to table - am sure that was unintentional. The rates are at par with any fine dining restaurant in the vicinity. One visit is enough.

We were in town to visit the Chateau and found ourselves looking for lunch around 3pm. We tried a few restaurants by the carousel but they were not serving food until dinner. So we stumbled upon this restaurant. In a pinch it will do, but I would not recommend if you have other options. We got a club sandwich and burger. Both just OK. Hate to waste a meal on not great food when in France. Service was good tho and our waiter spoke english

A light and easy dinner after a long days touring was welcomed. Our Caesar Salad with Gambas was far from being a Caesar but was enjoyable. the duck terrine was creamy and fresh and the service good. Very close to the chateau.

We came today in Fontainebleau for a quick lunch. Once again the service and food quality was outstanding. The team composed of local staff only, are super friendly. The Chef is passionate and works only with "produits du terroir". We will come back! Thank you
