Uptown Grill - Fontainebleau

I went here for my graduation lunch with family. Kaitlyn D. was our waitress and she was AWESOME!!! Loved her personality, her silliness, her amazing service how friendly she was! She was like one of the family! I demand a raise for this girl!!!

DAN IS THE MAN! To start, Dan the server is an awesome guy. Easily the nicest waiter we have ever had. They were busy beyond belief and Dan took great care of us. Our food accidentally got given to another table so we had to wait 10 minutes longer. They gave us $2 off our drink and free dessert. Neither was necessary because how great the service prior was. The food was magnificent. The chicken pot pie was full of big chunks of carrot and chicken. The puff pastry was done perfectly. The tortellini with butternut squash was a 10/10 from my wife. The perfect amount of sauce with a good tortellini and great roasted squash. We had vodka and peach lemonade which was fantastic. The dessert that was given to us was huckleberry ice cream. This was also super good, big chunks of huckleberry in it. The ONLY downside is the location. The fact that it is downtown Olympia where some of the downside hangs out, kind of defeats the purpose of sitting outside. The inside was great though. We will definitely be returning here. Thanks again Dan for the hospitality.

Stopped into Uptown Grill yesterday passing thru Oly and had a great experience! Service was super quick and really friendly, helpful with questions and candid with recommendations. The waitress brought me some house made tartar and cocktail sauce to try with the fries (both delish). I ordered the Spiced Chicken Adobo Bowl and was really pleased. Great spot, I'll be back!

First and last time going there. Honestly, I was totally ok with paying $20 for an excellent burger. But their approach of fees for everything is so annoying I 'd rather just not. When I called to place an order the first question was will you want utensils I said no, since I was ordering a burger, but thought that was an odd question to lead with. I order the burger, go pick it up the receipt has a fee for the to go bag a kitchen scratch fee they said it 's to tip the kitchen for making stuff from scratch. Annoying, but whatever (I still tipped $2 on my order even though that 's questionable since I wasn 't being served). Then I get back to my office to eat the burger there 's ZERO napkins. So, I 'm guessing because I failed to order (and pay for) utensils, I was denied napkins. So d just raise your prices and drop all the BS fees, what is this, an airline?Update: It appears this was read and they decided to refund my lunch. Very kind, I 've added a star as a courtesy in response. Unfortunately, since everything above was company policy and not a one off glitch, I still wouldn 't go back to do all that again.

We were passing through Olympia area and decided to check Yelp for a restaurant recommendation and Uptown Grill was popular fellow Yelpers. When we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. All started right on track, water and menus delivered, drink order taken and a nice server with a good personality. The server returned to take our food order after I watched her deliver cocktails to the table that ordered after us. No big deal, but I ended up after 10 minutes going up to the bar and ordering them myself. The food was dropped off by a new server, and didn't have any contact with anyone until our plates were taken. Seems like maybe we came on an off day. Food was very good, ordered the salmon fettuccini and the stroganoff.
