Mezcalito Oaxacan Cuisine - Folsom

I was delighted to discover a restaurant specializing in Oaxacan cuisine, as I have a deep love for Oaxacan mole. I placed a pickup order for the Oaxacan Favorite, which was priced at $16—a bit steep for chicken mole—so I expected it to be extraordinary. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The chicken was incredibly dry, and there was hardly any mole on top. The mole itself lacked flavor and was nothing like the Oaxacan mole I’ve enjoyed in the past. I can make a far better mole at home than what I received from this restaurant. They shouldn’t claim to serve authentic Oaxacan cuisine. I won’t be returning here.

I absolutely loved the food! The drinks were fantastic as well! This would be a perfect place for a night out or to celebrate a birthday.

The food is excellent, and the service is just as impressive. Their chicken dishes are outstanding, and my daughter absolutely loved her shrimp dish. Be sure to try their fresh guacamole before you leave!

Really quite good! The chips and salsa had a nice kick, the ceviche was enhanced with flavorful chili, and the guacamole was incredibly fresh. I was impressed!

This restaurant is still fantastic! Luis is still the absolute best! Did you know he also works at Petra Greek in the Paladio? I will definitely be following him there!
