We went to Korea last autumn and this restaurant reminds me of the best restaurants we were. The supplements are usually vegetarian and gently cooked and gently seasoned. High nutritional value when you break it. The owner always catches it and gives me a steamed egg. This place has been a classic Korean NY company for decades.
Their Kimchi is very good! Their soft tufu soup is also good too. Those who are used to Manhattan taste may not find outstanding taste because Manhattan taste is very strong to catch customer's attention immediately. I will say, this place knows how to balance it out. I want to try unlimited BBQ next time.
The flavors hit all the notes of comfort and soul of Korea. With a range of dishes from the classic kim chi jjigae, hot stone bibimbap and kalgooksoo (knife cut noodles) you can appreciate why this restaurant has stood the test of time and has been in Flushing for the past 20+ years. Yes, the table BBQ is unbeatable and I won't steer you away from that. Once you order the classic Korean dishes here, you can taste the authentic flavors that anchors a regular like myself for a lifetime.
I had my brother's birthday dinner party here just yesterday and well our group of 8 really enjoyed our time here. The place was cozy and the service was pretty attentive. The place wasn't too rowdy ,but just right. I felt like this place definitely a perfect spot to come with your significant other or even for a first date. Food wise some were really amazing and some were just okay. Everyone that ordered the Beef Stroganoff were very happy including me. The beef was so tender the huge fist size beef just split nicely into layers the moment I pressed my fork into it. I felt the portions were generous. I barely finished mine after an appetizer. On the other hand the Khoulibiac was just okay. I felt like it was a bit too dry and it lacked in flavor. As for the appetizers, we all just loved the duck. It was a generous portion and it was delicious. However, we do not recommend the lobster. The portion was too small and the taste wasn't all that amazing for $35). After dinner we went around to take some photos and checkout the souvenir shop along with the egg tree and the polar bear fish tank. One of the waiters were really nice enough to take a few shots was us and he did a really good job with them. I think it's one of those places you have to come and experience it once when you get a chance. Now, will I come again? Yes, I def would for sure!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Flushing—it’s my go-to for Korean comfort food. I've been enjoying it for over 10 years, and every time I'm back home, I get together with my friends to indulge in either the Bulgogi Bibimbap (served hot) or any of their BBQ dishes, which are always a great choice. I visited on a Saturday after a week-long trip to Paris, where I had been craving Kim Chi and rice. The waitress was incredibly sweet, spoke fluent English, and was very friendly. Just take a look at this place!
