The restaurant has a spacious outdoor area with a large bar and grill, along with multiple TV screens showing sporting events. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding, and they offer fantastic deals during happy hour. The waterfront location with a dockside seating area is very pleasant. I highly recommend this place, especially if you like baked oysters.

This restaurant is excellent for fresh oysters and tasty drinks. Their happy hour specials are dependable and it's a cool experience to see the boats arrive. Don't miss the tarpon feeding at 4pm!

Every year when the wife and I land in key west we head straight to Alonzo’s for supper. Probably won’t after this. We hit happy hour, just like many times before. 1/2 pound of peel and eats were not even close to 1/2 lb and were rubbery in texture. The fish dip was runny and didn’t seem fresh. The fish bites were not good either. Beer was $6 a bottle, which I’m willing to overlook in exchange for a good meal. The end result was an $86 bill and had to stop down the road for some more food. We did load up on bottles of hot sauce for the upcoming winter and chili season which is always good but how about a deal when you buy 4? But that’s not the point of this review. Our server was great, but honestly felt my stomach sink when I got out my card out to pay. I’ve eaten here a dozen times and brag about it back home. Breaks my heart I have to leave a bad review.

I will start by saying that I’m a restaurant girl. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It is my opinion that Alonzo's Oyster Bar is one of the Best places in Key West. Actually I think this place beats many other super trendy and famous places that are in fact overrated. The decoration and the ambient is amazing, like a Cuban night in the in the fifties, the menu: food and drinks are delicious and well presented. Good music, amazing happy hour, great feeling and vibe. Decent time for serving and a very friendly staff. Everything is super clean and organized, including restrooms. It is an stupendous experience for a very reasonable price. In my personal score, Alonzo's Oyster Bar has a 10 out of 10. It was not my first time and definitely will not be the last.
