Hong Kong Chinese - Florence

I don't get the five star reviews for this place... I got two lunch specials today and couldn't be more disappointed. I got the pepper steak with lo mein and sweet and sour chicken with rice. One came with an egg roll and one came with wonton soup. The pepper steak was the biggest disappointment. The peppers and onions weren't cooked, it was like they just threw fresh vegetables in there and heated up the steak. The lo mein was made with spaghetti, not even your typical commercial lo mein noodles. I could have gotten past that if there was any flavor to them. The rice had a decent flavor but again, there was raw onion in there that hadn't even been cooked and it was overpowering. Finally, the egg roll was overcooked and dried out and the wonton soup....just no. The best part was the sweet and sour chicken. I wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant. Needless to say, I'll keep going to New China buffet.

I've never had a bad meal from this place. My only place to get good Chinese meal.

Food is tasty and price is fair. The wait is short.

I honestly don't usually leave reviews but after having some Hong Kong my whole entire life has changed....this food was so damn good I could a slap a damn bear!! Definitely got any Chinese in Florence SC beat by far...oh and we can definitely debate

I ordered online, food was ready faster than expected. Fresh and flavorful. Environment seemed clean for the most part. White rice? Great. Veggie lo mein? Perfect. Medium spicy Szechuan chicken? Immaculate
