Poppys Place - Floral Park

Calamari was wonderful. The only problem was that there was a little waiting time for food.

Was simply an enchanting evening at Poppy's Place. Was like going back in time to dining at your favorite hometown spot. The atmosphere is cozy, the waitstaff is accommodating and the food is right on the mark. It is obviously a favorite of the locals. Diners at different tables walk around to meet and greet. Although we are not neighborhood folk, by the time our dinner was completed, we felt like one of the crowd. Can't wait to plan our next visit. Of course I'll make a reservation as we did tonight. Seating is limited and diners do not want to leave. Don't blame them.... June Bleich Manhasset Hills, NY

The food was great here. I had the chicken parmagiana. The chicken was moist. The dessert was great. I have never had mint tortufu. The waitress was very nice and was very helpful.

My husband and I have had many date nights here but it had been a long time. I decided to order for our family this is still one of my favorites we missed enjoying our delicious food inside Poppy?s, however we shared stories of some very nice times we have had in the past. Everything was wonderful! Some of the photos below were taken after a bite was taken! We highly recommend this restaurant for the excellent service and delicious food!

Solid pasta dishes and nice warm bread basket to start. Be sure to ask your server which of the pasta dishes are fresh made pasta (not everything is). I had the pappardelle w meat sauce v good. This would be 4 stars if not for all the TVs at the bar being tuned to Fox News and lack of ambiance in back dining room area. Our server was very nice.
