Jonny Mac's Lowcountry Grille Bbq

The portions were huge, and the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly. All the sauces we tried were delicious. I was initially hesitant, as I've never eaten at a restaurant with such a casual vibe, but the food surpassed any other BBQ place we've visited in the Asheville area. I would definitely return and highly recommend it!

If you're looking for a polished and pristine dining experience, this isn't the place for you. However, if you enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine and grilled dishes, you will love it here. The Jambalaya was fantastic, the green side dish was well-seasoned and flavorful, and the grain bread was wonderfully moist. I can't wait to go back!

We stopped by this restaurant after a stroll in the park and we can't wait to return! The Stuffed Pepper Special was outstanding! The Cajun rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The brisket was mouthwateringly delicious and had a wonderful smoky flavor. The BBQ sauce was sweet with just the right amount of heat to finish off the meal. It was truly exceptional! The owner checked on us, and he was really nice. They even grow their own hot peppers! We loved everything we tried. While the exterior doesn’t look like much, don’t let that fool you—step inside and indulge in something delicious. It’s definitely worth returning for! We’re looking forward to trying the gator next time!

Local and friendly staff restaurant. Ribbons were too dry and not completely dropped off the shelf. Friends had pigs and fried catfish they say were good.

Our ribs were burnt. I've never had that happen before. The fried Mac and Cheese wasn't good either. The cornbread still rocked though.
