Dave's Bakery - Flatwoods

My family has always relied on this bakery for cakes and sweets, so it was a no-brainer to order donuts from them for my special occasion dessert. However, when the donuts arrived, I was a bit disappointed in their appearance. I had expected a beautifully decorated donut display, but what I received did not meet my expectations. I had ordered several dozen cake donuts in white, light pink gradient decorated to mauve, and gold icing with gold and white accents. Instead, we got donuts that were splotchy in white, pink, and purple. Despite their appearance, the donuts still tasted delicious. However, they did not live up to what I had envisioned for my special occasion dessert table. Unfortunately, I was too busy on the morning of the event to inspect the donuts closely or refuse them. If I had seen them before the event, I likely would not have accepted them and gone without donuts for my dessert.

The staff was friendly and the pastries were excellent. We were disappointed that we arrived late in the morning and our favorite donuts were sold out, but the ones we ended up getting were still really delicious.

For me, Dave's Bakery is pure nostalgia. When I was growing up, my father used to buy us donuts every week. Since then, I have lived in three different cities and I still believe that Dave's has the best donuts around, especially the cake donuts!

Tasty treats always in the case, one if not the best cake in the area. Love this place, hate the cravings when I dont have it lol.
