Bidrage med feedbackWe visited for lunch in May 2019 having heard a lot about the Semaphore. The set menus were not available as it was the weekend. You sit in an aluminium conservatory. The views are really good and the service is fine. The man in charge speaks good english. So good food and amazing views. Well worth a visit to this out of the way restaurant.
Our hotel was about a mile away and they recommended Le Semaphore as a great place to dine. The location was amazing with views out over the sea and an aerial display by the sand martins. The food was amazing, we had oysters followed by fresh fish and deserts. All were so good we would not have changed a thing. The service was efficient and friendly whilst the owner spoke perfect English and was totally charming. I add that we are cycling around Normandy and the owner insisted on picking us up and dropping us back to our hotel as the weather was inclement, even though the restaurant was busy. I would make a point of going back to the area just to visit this restaurant again.
We came across this restaurant by total mistake...and because they had signs from the main street of Flammanville all the way to the coast. This was the first Monday he was open. GREAT welcome, service and food... all done by the host! Do not turn down the Filet Mignon with Camembert sauce! The fish of the day was John Dory! Haven't seen that on a menu since Australia many years ago.
The site is beautiful! Beautiful sea view! The reception was very pleasant and friendly, the very clean room and the sanitary too! Nice place I recommend
An address we would like to keep secret, jealous. A small taste of the end of the world above the cliffs, facing the sunset, an exceptional welcome despite staffing problems. Excellent products, a paradise point of view, a must-see table for our next crossings around the corner. MERCI PATRON!!
