Asador San Roque - Fisterra

Just had our fourth meal of our vacation this afternoon. Yesterday we fancied trying a Paella but it 's something that needs to be pre ordered so we put our names down for 3pm Sunday lunch. WOW, even though we asked for a Paella for two between three of us it was still too much for us and we were offered a doggy bag for the beach for later . The staff all seem to be the one family and are extremely delightful. Very good service and exceptional value for money. Firstly the wine is lovely, Rioja and Albarinho, and about €2.20 a glass. The Paella was €18 per person and they were very accommodating regarding allergies etc. Previously we would have sampled everything from the seafood and shellfish menu and they were all fantastically fresh and superbly cooked. A special mention for the Prawns in Garlic which were the best we tasted in Galicia. Lots of the dishes came with servings of homemade chips (french fries or patatas fritas) awhich were brilliant. Nothing pre done there (all peeled on the premises) The mixed grill churasco was excellent. The grilled fish of the day superb. Add to this a happy head chef (who checks if all the food is to your liking) and happy, attentive, smiling service staff and such reasonable prices and I feel you might have the best little spot in Fisterra. We 're heading back this week for a Chuleton and some magnificent Mencia tinto and hoping to squeeze in a little pizza before we return home. Everything we hoped for in a restaurant and on our doorstep!!

Busy with locals and family run, excellent place to try. We had the local scallops, fish and steak and all was great. But what was the most special was that we asked for a taxi and when it didn’t come, the owner of the restaurant, gave us a ride home. That doesn’t happen everyday and was quite special. Would recommend to other travelers.

One of the best tastes you can experience in Galicia! Friendly staff, clean place and home made food. Strongly recommended!

Buena comida, pedimos chuletón de vaca vieja madurada, el plato normal iba a kg y medio, el cuál se me hacia mucho, pero el cocinero resolvió el problema haciendome un chuletón a mi gusto(1/2kg). Además de eso, pedimos para compartir unos calamares a la brasa que estaban buenísimos. Buena comida y buen servicio.

Muy buen restaurante, calidad ratio precio muy bien, la muy atenta camarera con nosotros y simpático, de 10.
