Bidrage med feedbackGood breakfast with more of an American feel. The muffins (surprisingly large) and bagels were both satisfactory. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe to it and plenty of seating available as well as free wifi.
We went for lunch and both got Eggs Benedict. Perhaps we’ve been spoilt previously, but the eggs weren’t poached properly as you’d expect. The eggs were broken and split with one yoke already popped (big faux pa). The hollandaise didn’t have vinegar to speak of, and the bacon was an over cooked ham that was more like jerky after being over cooked. It felt like they didn’t really take care about this meal. Plastic cutlery on a paper tray made the experience less satisfying again. They also shout your name so you can collect your own food, there’s no table service here. For €8 per meal, I’d have gone elsewhere for lunch given the quality we received. I didn’t complain because I noticed a couple next to us eating the same thing with the same quality, so I didn’t see any benefit to returning the food. There are a lot of good reviews so perhaps their bagels are great, but we didn’t try these. If you visit here, skip the eggs benedict and go for something else. There are some fantastic places to lunch in Florence. This place wouldn’t be on my list.
Great space, delicious eggs benedict, refills on coffee! Super kind owner! Disposable tableware
Mama’s closed the day we arrived in Florence and would not reopen before we were winging our way home. We have had Mama’s bagels on a prior Christmas visit, bagels, lox, and beer being our traditional Christmas breakfast, but this year the bakery was on holiday. From past experience I can tell you that they have good bagels, from current experience I can tell you that they are the only place in Florence that has bagels.
Bel posto, tranquillo, con piatti buoni e ben preparati, adatto anche per famiglie con bambini. molto adatto anche per brunch. prezzi adattati alla sua posizione
