Bidrage med feedbackGenuinely the best place for all pasta in flourorence. the place where the locals eat. we were recommended this restaurant by a local souvenir shop owner and my gott we were not disappointed. or waiter was super friendly and made us very welcome. the chef has the restaurant (we think) and everything about this place is all about good local fresh to amazing trips. we had the gnocchi and spaghetti dishes and they were extremely tasty and HUGE parts. What do you want? eating is incredible. the service is incredible. the wee is unbelievable. the chef is a guru what he does. we will definitely come back to this place and recommend to everyone.
We spent like the year before (rom and campania) a two weeks holiday in italia this time sardegna and tuscany. in sardegna we had reasonable eating (excellent pizza, miramare alghero). in florence we stayed in a beautiful hotel a few roads from the railway station in the Sölpto headquarters. there you will find many tourist shops and touristic restaurants. 10 meters above our hotel we discovered, la campaninna or the shed in English. it was crowded and from the window we saw a living cooking spectacle. on Monday we decided to go to dinner...because our children were hungry. we went down to the street. with ok tourist food. on Tuesday we returned and although there was a small amount we decided to wait....in the napels we did the same with a Michelin guide mentioned restaurant and that was quite dissapointing in the end......as always la capaninna. was good to wait. with a fantastic host and a perfect chef from calabria. the food was excellent, made with love huge portions. I would recommend the risotto with funghi and the tagliata di manza with rucola! but I could go on. a real roman carbonara or amatriciana....la capaninna has it....and my opinion after when I am an italy addicted. they want the simplest dish like the spaghetti al pomodoro tickle their senses...la capaninna is the place to be! the shed feels and is made to home as its fictional Italian grandmother or in this case would make opa it. the next day we returned and la capaninna showed that it was not a tricky pony, again a perfect 10. next time florence, this will be the place...as briefly said: prices are honest portions are xxl taste....come a casa up for la capaninna!
All pasta, gnocchi and risotto we ate during our stars in firenze were delicious! the part was great, very tasty and reasonable price. we visit the restaurant twice, order very good house-Vine and lot od pasta. place was not disappointed as, and I...really recommend to visit it.
Small place, big heart, good food. we went to this restaurant several times, eating was great and delicious. good price!
You read the reviews and it’s in your hotel so we thought we’d walk over there. It was a pleasant surprise! It’s a very simple not glamorous place. Everything is very clean and the food is great! I had steak that came with vegetables it...was only about €12. Big portion I was very happy. My husband had a huge plate of spaghetti he was very happy. And you get to walk through the Latin market to get there. It’s right outside of the central Mercado which is another plus. We’re going back to the same area tomorrow to do shopping and try other restaurants.
