Phoenix Community Store - Findhorn

The shop has a fair selection of vegan produce so I’ll give them the full five stars available for that. But I do find it conflicting that a place with so much promotion of all things spiritual, connection to nature and kindness also has chopped animal bodies for sale. Along with written notes on how the animals have a good life and are cared for. Aye ok, let’s see how that life ends shall we? Or the fact they exist to be exploited and used for temporary selfish satisfaction. So one star off for that. Why is the store listed here as vegan? Updated from previous review on 2024-04-23

This shop is great. They have a lot of vegan products that are hard to find elsewhere. It also has some nice gifts. Strangely they do sell some meat animal products here which seems a bit of out of place

Staying in Findhorn eco village for only two days was a dream come true but sadly not enough time to fully appreciate it. To find this little store bursting with so many Vegan goodies under one roof it was probably a good thing we weren’t here longer! We could have spent some serious time money in here. Cannot list here how much they do! Found items we’ve never seen before and most of it at great prices. Super friendly staff. There was nothing not to like. We will return

Extensive vegan stock of everything you could imagine. We stocked up on sliced cheese, ham and sausages for onwards travel! Lovely staff. Only wish we’d had more time to peruse!

This shop is a true gem for the region! It has a wonderful selection of food, books, magazines, little gifts. I try to buy mostly organic and vegan and here I find everything I need. They also stock products from small local businesses (locally grown vegetables, bread from the local bakery, cosmetics, coffee,... . A great selection of chocolates and vegan ice creams too.
