Bidrage med feedbackWe had our high time at the rufflets in the april this year and it was the most amazing day! every single member of the team was beautiful and went beyond and beyond to make us and our guests welcome and take care of a massive thanks to the Hannah who was amazing from planning, all day and beyond. her love for detail was fantastic. she even helped my father in the law to organize a secret singer waiter who surprised us the day! it was brilliant the stunning grounds and hotel made it a magical place to marry. Thank you.
Was gifted a voucher for afternoon tea for 2. Visited on a Monday afternoon (bank holiday), the hotel was quiet but not empty with several other groups in. Service was very good, friendly and professional without being over the top. Sandwiches scones and cakes were fresh with a large pot of tea. There was actually too much for 2 people but that's not something to complain about. We were offered the option of packaging cakes to take them away which we declined, but good to have the option. Our afternoon tea cost £25 for 2 people which was good value for money as a treat.
Went for Xmas lunch at £125 per head staff and management poor no wine list offered ask and ordered drinks before starter had to remind them near end of main course they had forgotten no cutlery with cheese course which actually was served warm and runny Want be back
Absolutely fantastic food, lovely room (twin beds! , big, modern bath. Wonderful service-highly recommended! Garden and terrace were nice.
I do not like writing negative reviews, but I am sorry to say that I have little option on this one. Simply stated, the food here falls very far short of what one might expect for the price. Receiving the bill took me beyond disappointment and into the realm of angry shock. We dined here, and it must be said that the staff were helpful and attentive. Mind you, they did not have many diners to look after, the reason for which became clearer as dinner proceeded. We all wanted the 'Scottish lamb ', which would have made the cook 's job easier (I am not going to honour him/her with the title 'chef ' . Dog food is the best epithet we could find for the compressed brick of dry shredded meat; the chorizo sausage was full of bone splinters; there were the obligatory six tiny pointless dots of an unidentifiable vegetable purée; some tired girolles; all of it cold when it arrived at the table. This is a beautiful hotel, set in wonderful grounds that does not mean it can charge ritzy prices when the cook cannot produce the goods. I could go on, but it would serve no purpose other than to remind myself that I paid a king 's ransom for a tinker 's dinner.
