The Owls Nest - Ferndown

Don’t you just love a pub which is not a chain? Who doesn’t! This is a gem of West Parley and Ferndown! Great quality yummy food and drink at great affordable prices! The portions are massive so you will never leave on an empty stomach! Lovely, warm, welcoming atmosphere and never any trouble. Various events held and also live music evenings if you fancy a sing or a dance along! Great owners and staff! This is our favourite local and I would recommend them all day long!

Richard and Jackie and their staff run a very pleasant and friendly pub. Customer service is always at the forefront of their business, if they can do it, they will! The food is homemade and fantastic, some great hearty meals or even the lightest, tasty snacks are available. There is always a wide variety of ales, many of them local, so well worth a visit if you like to sample local brews. The clientele are mostly local and very friendly and welcoming, especially if you have a dog!! Occasionally there is entertainment of various kinds, from rock bands to morris dancers and some darts on a Friday night. All in all, I can't fault this local pub, a great pit stop or for a nice evening, you won't be disappointed!!

Good atmosphere. Menu was limited on our visit, thet must be popular! Some strange ingredients used. Looked forward to home made rice pudding but it was full of nutmeg

1st visit here. Very nice homely. Food yummy. Will be back.

This is one of our favourite local pubs. What we call a proper pub, always well-kept beers and quality homemade food. Good atmosphere and genuinely friendly owners.
