Such a great outside space. 6pm on a wed. Fairly busy. Order food at bar. Good sized portions. Normal pub grub. Average pricing. Atmosphere fine, polite staff. Very clean loos.

The good was okay but it was noisy and very stuffy. Yes I know it’s been warm but tables were quite close to each other and for a Thursday it was very busy. Some of the staff were great but one or two appeared to have missed some staff training sessions. Liqueur coffee served in a large cappuccino cup? Really?

Lovely pub with good atmosphere and prompt friendly service. The food was disappointing though even though we ordered from the more expensive main menu. The fish pie was bland and contained mostly air and very little fish. The sausages were dry and tasted as though they had been cooked earlier and then microwaved. The barbecue sauce that was supposed to be on the Hunter's Chicken was a blended tin of tomatoes and the chicken salad was over-powered by raw onion. Great real ale though so would go again for a drink but not to eat.

Situated by the roadside, it is beautifully decorated inside. The outside beer garden is big and comfortable. Nice place for social gathering, dating, and rest. Parking place is large and free. Food is English and western. Quality is nice and authentic, and price is mediocre. Variety is limited. Recommended.

Good food slightly spoiled by noisy lads in football gear using restaurant for hide and seek! Food took a while but not a problem as cooked fresh with steak exactly as requested . Huge portions too. Good value with set meal combo.
