Ko-Sing Chinese Restaurant - Ferndale

行きました。店の周りにはTAKE AWAYで待っているお客さんが沢山で、いつも人気のようです。家族で経営しているようで、スタッフはフレンドリーで対応も良かったです。料理も6品ほど注文しましたが、素早く出てきたので間が空くことなく食事を出来て満足。

Nice food. Good price. Friendly staff who actually listen to customers and get orders right. Also appreciate the free bag of prawn crackers with purchase over $50.

It has been quite a number of years since I last dined at the Ko Sing.Having dined there since the 80's....(yes, the Ko Sing has been around for many years...) my father was having his 70th birthday and invited the family out to dinner, as the Ko Sing was a family favourite for Chinese food.I'm assuming the restaurant has changed hands, as there were no familiar faces to be seen and the number of staff has increased significantly.The restaurant still had the familiar surrounds and decor, with minor changes to fittings and new tables.One thing that really surprised me and this wasn't a good thing.....was water is no longer available free of charge and soft drinks are no longer permitted to be brought into the restaurant !I appreciate the restaurant is trying to improve their bottom line, but please...... at least offer complimentary iced water !This isn't some swanky high end restaurant !On the plus side....The restaurant was packed on the Saturday night we attended, with the majority of customers being of Asian origin... (which obviously says something for the quality of food).The dishes we ordered came out in near record time and were delicious !Full credit to the kitchen staff !!Would I recommend eating there ?Definitely....tho don't bother with BYO and expect to pay for water !

Went for a family dinner here recently. Used to visit this restaurant quite often twenty years ago. I think it has changed ownership and kept the original name. Some of the old dishes have gone with some new ones added. Food was tasty, staff are attentive. What I don't like is that you can't have a jug of water, you have to buy overpriced bottled water. The old Ko-Sing was B.Y.O. you could even bring your own bottle of cool drink then. Times have changed I guess, everything's chargeable.

Average food highly spiced, suspect MSG is culprit. Has been good in the past, disappointing takeaway meals last few times, will be prepared to travel further for quality
