Bidrage med feedbackThis quaint French Bistro is located in the heart of Balmain bringing a little bit of Paris to Sydney. They have a set 2 course menu for only $29. Not only is this great value for money but the food is delicious and well presented.<br/ <br/ As an entree I had the Crepes au Poulet at Champignon (chicken and mushroom crepes): Chicken and mushroom ragout in white sauce with grated aged parmesan. As a main I had the crispy skinned baramundi served with potatoes and beetroot. Both dishes were perfectly flavoured and delicious. Definetly worth another visit to try some of their other dishes.
I am not a big fun of rice or noodle, but a friend of mine recommended me to come here to try their risotto and pasta. <br/ I have to say I was impressed. Three of us had different choices and we finished them all!<br/ The Lamb Ragout Pasta is my choice(though my name is beeflover, lamb is also my cup of tea) The lamb is soft and juicy, slowly cooked with all the herbs smell inside, which is so good! With the flavor of tomato, the lamb taste quite special. <br/ Salmon and prawn risotto, as my friend said, is very tasty. Better than the one at the very expensive restaurant. I tried some Chorizo and mushroom risotto, I like rice, not that soft or hard. Mushroom taste better with cheese on it.<br/ Lunch special here is only 14.8, (burger will be more expensive) Will bring more friends to try the great food here!<br/ <br/ Yeah! I wrote so much for my first review in Zomato!
My friend and I were attracted by the desert on the table outside. LA SAVEUR is a new restaurant here, i am so glad that I came in and tried the cafe and the desert. The menu here is quite simple, so is the small restaurant. Cozy is the best word to describe it. Coffee here is the best! I tried flat white as usual, my hubby ordered cappuccino. They use Schibello, it is a coffee company based in Sydney, I read about some news before about this company, they use top grade Arabica beans, and the company tries to be as environment-friendly as possible. Smell it then sip it, so so good! Since I am on a diet, don’t want to take too much sugar, I ordered an Apple Strudel only. I like desert, but I don’t like it too sweet. The apple filling is a little bit sour, just perfectly match the sweet paste. Also, there is cinnamon inside, I always believe cinnamon and apple are born to be together A perfect afternoon at LA SAVEUR, the staff there are so friendly, I will definitely come back again! For the coffee!
Excellent. A satisfying, quirky, paired-back restaurant with a moreish selection of dishes that does very well for itself. The dessert items could use some refining.
Pretty good value for money. Service was OK but the guy probably could have used an extra extra set of hands. Not sure just how French the whole menu was but food was tasty regardless.
