Bidrage med feedbackI’ve been wanting to try this for a while, not because I was hyped but because it has always been in my face. It’s a common bakery-cafe chain in Sydney even though there’s none in Melbourne. This has the honour of being my last bubble tea in Sydney before moving back to Melbourne. I’ve observed that not many people frequent this store for their bubble tea and virtually no one talks about their tea either (I only ever recall one person mentioning it to me) so my expectations were low.
This is one of my go-to places for Asian baked goods (sweet and savoury) and cakes. My favourite breads are the ones with mochi or rice cake inside like the green tea mochi buns, espresso mochi bread and the pumpkin mochi one. In terms of cakes, I like their taro gateau and the blueberry cheesecake the best.
I'm specifically devoting this review on their humble square white toast. At $3.70 for 8 slices has to be one of the more expensive plain toast going around. But yet I buy them because they are one of the best toast going around. Very soft fluffy, smooth taste in your mouth, great as either toast or sandwich bread. Totally worth the premium for a nice start to the day.
Came here to (obviously) buy some bread.I bought the coffee bun and garlic bread.Coffee bun was delicious. Crispy crust on the outside with nice coffee flavour. The garlic bread was okay. Not soft enough for my liking though.
