Hippo's - Fenton

We love hippos for a delicious affordable family meal! Our favorite is the chicken pesto flatbread and the chicken tenders. The owner is very friendly. Our kids love the chalk wall and the ice cream.

Me and my wife went there for lunch and we were the only the people in there at the time. The owner John took great care of us and let us taste test some of the delicious food he makes. The tenders are out of this world, the chicken sandwiches we had were amazing, bread sticks were more than delightful and the mac&cheese and potato wedges didn't disappoint. Wonderful experience and we will definitely be going again. Thanks John

Tried this place a few months ago. The ribs were fantastic. Fall off the bone, good flavor, and tangy sauce. Have bought them 2 times since. 2nd time they were OK, but not as good as the first. I made the mistake of trying one more batch. The ribs I bought last night were practically inedible. $20 (with tip) for a half rack and a breadstick turned out to be a terrible waste of money. I couldn't believe how tough and rubbery the ribs were. I had a difficult time trying to cut them with a steak knife! Disgusting. How they could go from being cooked perfectly the first time to a rubbery mess last night is beyond comprehension. And to think I was going to buy several racks when family came into town next week; boy did I avoid a disaster! Save your money and don't get the ribs from this place. I don't normally complain about poor service or food, I just don't go back. In this case, I'll do both.

The food was awful the chicken tasted like banquet extremely salty. My wife's food was about the same. My sons pizza was great and bread sticks were good. This is a case of having to many things on a menu. The desert was a joke quit trying to do to much. Tone down the menu remember you need to be better than good. This **** went to my . Just ordered first pizza from Hippos based on referral from a friend! It was really, really good! Just sorry I waited so long. Friendly welcoming as well! Kudos are deserved!
