Boswell Son - Fenland

I was in search of a morning coffee and possibly a cake, and stumbled upon this quaint spot that seemed perfect for a quick break. I was not disappointed. Although primarily a bakery, it also serves as a cozy café. Customers can choose from a variety of cakes, pastries, and pies on display, and also have the option to order freshly prepared filled rolls and baguettes. The coffee was just right and the cake I selected was delicious. The staff, a group of lovely ladies, were welcoming and eager to strike up a conversation. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices of the food and drinks. In comparison to my usual spot on the South coast, where a single specialty coffee could cost as much as the two cakes and coffees I enjoyed here, this place truly is a hidden gem.

.I called in for coffee and cake (and a brief rest) whilst cycling through. The staff members were cheerful and service friendly. This is a small an unpretentious cake and sandwich shop that has a small interior seating area. I had a coffee and scone and was asked if I wanted the scone cut open and buttered. When I replied 'Yes please ' I was then asked if I meant both! The scone was cut in half and had been buttered but, judging from the flavour, I suspect margarine had actually been used. Prices were reasonable enough This is OK for a drink and reviver but is nothing special

The staff at this restaurant are always cheerful and helpful. The small seating area is kept clean, and the staff promptly clean tables after customers leave. This ensures you won't be sitting amongst dirty dishes. The rolls and cakes are delicious.

We love the Ely shop.. The staff are always friendly and the cakes are lovely. It is a pleasure to shop there.

I have visited here several times and feel their cakes and hot food is not very good quality and very over priced however their bread and rolls are very good I do not mind paying high prices if I have good quality products so in future I shall only shop for bread on the plus side there is a small section for having a coffee and a bite to eat not that I have tried this staff are okay not over friendly
