Ausflugslokal Doppler -Stubn

The owner speaks a little English, and all menus are in German. but we somehow understood ourselves: the courts he recommended were wonderful, and the prospect is breathtaking! there is a corner for the children with all kinds of toys and activities to play, and the children are good. highly recommended!

We read about the doppler stubn in a booklet for gardening restaurants. there was only a small photo of him, but it looked up in the mountains and have great prospects. confusingly there are two st urbans, both close to each...other, and this is not the st urban on ossiacher see. there was no address for the doppler stubn in the broochure, but we tracked it after a few wrong turns. we came there the afternoon and it was a beautiful, clear, sunny day, so we drove to the terrace. that was amazing. there is a table on the corner, slightly raised, and with the best view of the terrace. from this table you can see directly down and ossiacher see in the far away. As it was on the afternoon, there were only us and a few locals. the woman owners served us and she was really friendly. she was interested in us and couldn't have been nicer. our sohn wanted simple spaghetti with butter and parmesan and although this was not on the menu, they made it for him. They asked if it were in order to use the butter of fresh builders because it had a stronger taste. he enjoyed it. I had the ribbed and spicy wing plate with crispy kartoffels. my man had a carnthian barley dish. there was a large selection of desert, homemade and ice creams. we had lincertorte and our son had an egg. I had never had lincertorte and it has always looked dry and heavy on the baked, but that was not at all. this was crispy and moist and nutty and beautiful. eating was very good, but on such a beautiful day with this divine intention a cheese sandwich would have tasted fantastic. I highly recommend this place. there seems to be a 'destination' restaurant and people probably attend for special events because they don't get it on the way to anywhere else, as it's right on the mountain. They can order special menus in advance and I remember that there was fondue or gay. we wanted to go back to make a return visit but ran out of time. it must wait until the next summer, because at the moment it is only advertised as open from mai to october. from all restaurants we visited during this summer holiday, doppler stubn is very special.

Von den Chefleuten und den Helfern hätten wir routiniertes Service und ein wenig Lockerheit erwartet. Das Essen war Okay aber kein Highlight. Mit dem Begriff Glutenunverträglichkei konnte auch die Köchin wenig anfangen, wie ein Aperol aussehen und schmecken muss wusste die Kellnerin nicht. Der Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge ist sehr schön.

Tolle Lage, super Gebirgsblick. Wirtsleute waren sehr freundlich. Der Schweinebraten war sehr gut, die Ripper`l waren erstklassig. Hier kann man nichts falsch machen. Preis Leistung stimmt.

Wir haben das Essen und die super Aussicht genossen, super Ambiente und sehr gepflegt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Hier muss man einfach einkehren, wenn man in der Nähe ist.
