Antonella's Italian - Fayetteville

They offered three vegan entrees (plus regular veg dishes), the portobello ravioli was fantastic. Kids portion of spaghetti was huge. Adorable outdoor space in the middle of what felt like city center.

The restaurant is small, but classy. It’s downtown location is very cute and my food was delicious.

GIuliano made sure that I had a great vegan dining experience at this restaurant. He offered me several menu options and also customized dishes for me. I felt reassured that there was no cross-contamination with meat or dairy products. The bread, salad with balsamic dressing, hot tea, and lemon dessert specially made for vegans were all delicious. I can't wait to come back for the excellent service, food, and conversation! Thank you, Giuliano!

I have had a few experiences at Antonella's, with the first visit being the most enjoyable. Our server was knowledgeable about vegan options and made great recommendations. However, on our second visit, I was left feeling frustrated. When I asked the server if certain items were vegan (such as the bread and salad dressings), she kept insisting they were gluten free instead. I tried to explain the difference to her, but she still seemed confused. In the end, I decided to skip those parts of my meal.

When I visited the restaurant, I had the option of choosing between two vegan entrees on the menu: spaghetti with marinara sauce and penne Toscana, which resembled a puttanesca dish. I decided to try the penne Toscana, and I found it to be delicious with a strong garlic flavor and a hint of spice. To my surprise, there was also a vegan soup on offer, so I ordered the three-bean soup, which turned out to be excellent. The bread served was also vegan and delightful, accompanied by dipping oil. The interior of the restaurant was a bit strange, with lots of windows making it feel less cozy, and featuring fake Italian statues and peeling walls that could be seen as charming or excessive, depending on your mood. Despite the quirky decor, I was hungry and decided to stay. While the patio outside looked inviting, I chose to dine indoors as it was a bit chilly that night. The service was satisfactory.
