Jiman - The Restaurant - Fatehpur

The food is absolutely uneatable and overpriced, the place filthy. Worst experience in 5 weeks traveling around Northern India. Yuk.

Lovely clean fresh food which rates right up there with the best vegetarian food we’ve had in India (even after 3 separate trips) Fully recommend and has intimate roof top vestibular over Mandawa and the castle

We very much enjoyed our meal at Jiman. Freshly baked roti, gotta masala, a delicious Rajastani veg curry and Handi chicken, another Rajastani specialty. We asked for extra heat and they obliged. Very nice indeed. Also a very good shop next door with excellent Jodhpurs, waistcoats and turbans.

Would have never found this place if it wasn’t for my guide “locally”, since I was looking online and all that was showing was “expensive” hotel restaurants. Even though I was the only customer this particular evening “low season”, they treated me like royalty and I had a great chicken Masala with garlic naan with one beer. Would def recommend this place for foreigners such as myself and locals.

Our guide took us to this restaurant for lunch, despite knowing we needed to pay by credit card. However, when we tried to pay, we were told they did not have a credit card machine. The service was pushy and even the manager was constantly hovering around, trying to get us to order more food. We were the only customers in the restaurant and were not impressed by the ordinary food. They even tried to convince us to come back for dinner, despite not being able to accept credit cards. We had no interest in returning for a meal that was similarly priced to that of the 5-star hotel Samode Palace.
