O Chaparro - Faro

One of our favourite eating experiences in Faro. The lady who worked there was really kind and helped us understand the menu. One of us was vegetarian and had an asparagus omelette, the other had a bread stew with crispy fish. We had a custard dessert and cooked peach for dessert. Great experience thank you!

A restaurant run by a young friendly couple who are proud of their inland region heritage which is reflected in their cusine. Don 't expect Spanish type tapas. The restaurant is well decorated in a more american old country style. All the crockery is earthenware, even the glasses . The pickled beef was very good, the chorizo too fatty. The portions are large so you can 't really order more than 4 dishes. And there was no fish. All in all a good littel restaurant, but not very exciting food, got to try it once, but probably not again.

Exciting restaurant really a good choice, different from the most restaurant in Funchal.

Het restaurant is klein en staat op de hoek van een straat net buiten het midden van Farao. De kaart is overzienlijk. Je kunt kiezen onder tien euro van varkensvlees, kalkoenvlees of kalfsvlees gegarandeerd met friet en klap. We dachten dat het perfect geschikt was voor een late lunch voordat we terug naar Nerdland vlogen. De dienst was erg vriendelijk en sprak goede engelen.
