The Crown Inn - Farnham Common

Utterly disappointing experience. We had a reservation but were shown to a secluded area at the back of the pub, isolated in a brightly lit room. We placed our food order at 6:50 PM, but the staff informed us that they couldn't provide a children's menu as they were all in use. By 7:30 PM, we inquired about our food and were told there would be at least another 30-minute wait. That would have meant a total wait of 1 hour and 10 minutes, with three hungry children in tow. Not even the hummus and pita bread made it to our table. We were given no prior indication of the delay, leaving us to discover it on our own. Why couldn’t they have communicated this earlier so we could make a decision? And why wasn’t at least something from the bar menu offered? Perhaps a simple bread service? Frustrated, we decided to leave. Terrible experience overall. We won't be returning!

The roast dinner was delightful, but I was slightly disappointed to be charged extra for the pigs in blankets and received only one. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. It was a bit noisy during our visit, as we were seated between two families with young children, which disrupted our conversation somewhat, but it wasn't a major issue. Service was quick. Overall, I would definitely go back for Sunday lunch.

A charming traditional country pub. The food was excellent and the service was attentive. A lovely spot for a wonderful meal.

This was our second visit, and we enjoyed it just as much as we did previously. The food was delicious especially the spicy pumpkin soup). Our waiter Connor) was friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.

Great Sunday lunch in a lovely Garden. Highly recommend the Yorkshire Puddings!!
