The Silver Fern - Fareham

I popped in for Sunday lunch and it was my first time here. I was very impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff and the relaxed atmosphere. I sat outside in the lovely garden to soak up the rare July sunshine. Zoe was especially friendly and helpful. The Sunday roast was delicious and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

It has been a couple of years since we last dined at this restaurant, so we decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The decor is dull and outdated, and our table was sticky. We ordered the chicken pie and the steak pie, both of which were a decent size but were encased in a tough pork pie-like pastry. The filling in both pies was lacking. While the food was hot and flavorful, some of my chips were burnt and a small piece of broccoli was nearly cold. I wish they would serve fresh, seasonal vegetables with their dishes. The staff, drinks, and service were all satisfactory, but overall, we do not plan on returning as there are better dining options available.

This local pub is fantastic, with friendly staff and management. I have never had a bad meal here and highly recommend the Yorkshire pudding wrap (I keep going back for more). There is a lovely garden where children can play and burn off some energy.

Have been many times and always had beautiful staff, wonderful eating and great prices. beautiful pub, highly recommended.

My wife and I traveled from cornwall to find a birthday of a sixth friend, in the silver far and all the meals were booked, my choice was the mixed grill, my wife chose the lasagne. both meals were served by a friendly staff and at a very competitive price. we have both enjoyed them with absolutely no complaining. the evening went very well from all 25 families and friends who visited. I would certainly recommend this marsdons pub/ restaurant, which for our celebrations so professional.
