I came here for a to go order for dinner. It’s very small I don’t know when to park so I parked at the taxi station next door (prob not a good idea). The shop is very small. Food was lukewarm. Flavor was ok. Service was alright. I probably won’t come back. I know there’s another location in Springfield. I might try to check that spot out because it has better reviews but I was disappointed at this location.
I do not understand these horrible reviews, absolutely unwarranted. I have been to the Philippines many times and the food here is AUTHENTIC! Maybe when other reviewers are saying the food isn't tasty it's because the food is not as salty here as it is in most Filipino food. For me, I think that's a plus because then I get to salt to my taste. However, the food had so much flavor of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, everything that is part of Filipino cooking. I gave the atmosphere only four stars, but the restaurant itself is totally authentic, it's small, no frills, just a few seats and with a soda fridge. You might as well have dropped me in the middle of Manila, and I loved it. The owner and chef is so sweet and patient as I tried to decide between all the dishes she had prepared. I was surprised how many offerings there were at 4 PM on a Saturday. I chose two pork dishes, adobo and unfortunately I forgot what the second one was. Both of them tasted so different and I loved that. The pork was really tender and the portions were extremely generous. Unfortunately, I missed the garlic rice. I am a huge fan of halo halo at first I was a little put off at how much it cost, $13, and then it was served up and I understood why. It was huge! On top of the size, so many of the ingredients were obviously made in house and aren't the usual suspects in halo-halo, like fresh plantains that were simmered in some kind of yumminess to make them soft. They were still warm, but not hot enough to melt the ice. The sweet potato was also warm and soft and perfect. There were so many different variations of ube in the halo-halo as well. I loved this restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: slightly elevated threshold, but easy to get over. There is a sidewalk and easy entry, the door isn't too heavy. I didn't ask to use the bathroom.
Authentic and tasty. If you're on a special diet be careful but you can still find some dietary foods. Luckily, I eat a lot of meat and non-starchy veggies on my diet, which you can find on the menu. Last time here we had chicken adobo and a pork dish. Both were delicious. We had bitter melon, too, which I find very good. I also strayed off my diet for some lumpia, which was really yummy. I highly recommend Kamayan Fiesta if you're looking for authentic Filipino cuisine and the people are very friendly as you would expect!
The pancit and the lumpia and tocino were really good. The food is like buffet sitting out and they make your plates for you.
