I did not mention that I was the person promised free drinks from my earlier review, as I wanted an authentic experience. Come to find out, my poor experience was not with the owner but a slightly younger man. This time I ordered the Tres Leches. My service was prompt and acceptable, considering the ship was quite busy at the time. Although the cake was drier than what I’ve come to accept for a tres leches, the flavor was quite good. I’ve since updated my review. Get the Vanilla Napolion, pass on the tres leches and enjoy!I visited the Saturday evening before Enkutatash. As for the cake, superb. The owner’s presence is what takes this review from a 5 to a 2. He assumed I only spoke English and was annoyed that I came in 15 minutes before close. I ordered a slice of vanilla cake from the display, which was fantastic— rich, flaky, and perfectly sweetened. There was a young lady who served me, and attempted to conceal the insults the owner was muttering in Habesha. His attitude was disgraceful, but the young lady was very kind and attentive. I would go again, but will leave if I must deal with that guy.
I really love the flexseed smoothie and napoleon cake it was delicious great service thank you.
Their birthday cakes are good and fresh. Much better than the pastries in their vicinity.
The Best Customer Service, quality cakes and coffee.
During my recent visit to this cafe, I had the intention of purchasing a cake for a friend who is known to adore their baked goods. Unfortunately, I encountered less than satisfactory customer service which was quite disappointing. It is imperative that we, as Ethiopians, reflect on our attitudes and work towards cultivating a more welcoming and hospitable environment in our businesses. At times, it felt as though the staff were doing us a favor by allowing us to patronize their establishment. This sort of behavior is not conducive to fostering a positive customer experience.Furthermore, I was perplexed by the staff's reaction when I requested additional cake. Rather than politely declining my request due to limited space in the box, the staff member gave me an unwelcoming look. It would have been far more appropriate for the staff to politely explain that they did not have enough space in the original box and to offer an additional box to accommodate my request.In conclusion, I would advise this cafe to consider the impact of their customer service on their customers and to strive towards providing a more hospitable environment.
