Cold Springs Station Resort - Fallon

Gets the job done for a one night stopover. The water pressure is pretty bad. The folks running the place are nice.Edit: Also, the clothes washer doesn't work. I put a load of laundry through and it came out dirty, so I ran it a 2nd time, and it still came out dirty.

Just stopped in to use the bathroom and buy some snacks but had a really nice visit with the folks there. Thanks for your Service and for the nice break on my ride.

Pulled it at sunset on a Wednesday night to be greeted by the owners watching the sky. They were fabulous hosts. The facilities are very nice for the emptiest stretch of 50. The posts for electrical hookups are either 30 or 50, so make sure you have a converter if you're 15/20. They have some in the camp store, if it's open. The showers are hot and private and the restaurant is spacious and delicious. I worked for a few hours in the back of the restaurant on the very solid wifi. We'll definitely be back when we travel the loneliest highway.

The owners, Barbara and George offer a great place to drink, eat, and spend the night, a true oasis. We have traveled the world and always look for hidden gyms like Cold Springs Station, this one ranks high in all the places we have visited. Saw an incredible moonrise evening of Aug 31 2023.
