Hot Stuff Foods - Fall Creek

We had the Chilean Salmon and the Perch with a wonderful salad to share. Food was delicious, nice ambience, attentive server. Had reservations which helped. Have not been to many of the higher end restaurants in Door County. Overall, a nice dining experience....would not say it had the wow effect but it provided my wife and I a nice evening out in an environment for good conversation. Would come here again.

My hubby and I stopped here while on vacation in the area. We made an early reservation, but arrived to the area even earlier, yet they were able to get us right in. I had the lobster roll with the truffle fries while he had the crab cakes. It was yummy food. The only downsides were the flies, but they did have the bar side open air, and a bored bus boy. This guy apparently had nothing to do so he awkwardly stood in the dining room near us several times or just wondered around. That's probably a one time occurrence, but just odd and made us a little uncomfortable.

Open table are first come, first serve. However there are few tables provided outside of shaded area but are exposed to the scourging heat of the Sun. It would be nice if they provide a big umbrella to cover and shield human skin from the heat of the sun and be able to enjoy eating lunch without sweating. Those tables ended up not being occupied due to poor planning.

Sadly they have eliminated much of the menu that made this place special to us. The food was good but basically Pub fare you could get anywhere. They still make a good steak though. The staff was excellent however and the place looks cllean and bright! We hope this is a Covid related issue that will eventually correct itself. We will be watching for future menu changes.

We ordered our steaks medium but they were well done. We ordered a side of the grilled vegetables, which were petrified we could not even tell what kind of veggies they were it was so bad. The crispy baked potatoes were smothered in what seemed like an entire container of sour cream. It would have been be nice if they served the sour cream on the side. This is an overpriced restaurant with bad food. I would definitely try a different restaurant next time I'm in the area.
