Bidrage med feedbackI Love a ruin and a little history. Easy parking, nice few shops, facilities.
It's lovely but very small. It's more like a stop on the way to somewhere else. On a lovely warm day you could take a picnic I suppose but children would be very bored. Don't bother with the Easter hunt. Took us less than 20 mins to find 10 eggs and for £4 per child got the smallest piece of chocolate.
Lovely for a stop over. Beautiful ruins. Shame the cafe nearby was closed during Easter holidays.
An English heritage run site that is free to enter. Not a great deal to see hence it being ruins. We didn’t go to the other part where there is a restaurant, cafe, shop, but it was well signposted. Dogs are allowed into the ruins. Dog bin outside the gate.
Not much to it, but interesting. A couple of info boards too. Free. Visited on: Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No
