South Park Bowl - Fairplay

I had a rather disappointing experience at this restaurant. While passing through the area, I thought I’d give a local place a shot for lunch. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. Next time, I’ll just grab some crackers from a gas station and wait until I’m back in Denver.

The ambiance was great, but the tamales were only average. They weren't bad at all, but they certainly didn't stand out as exceptional.

Great value! I had the pork tamale, which was good but didn't fully live up to my expectations. My husband had the chicken enchiladas, and they were amazing! The green chile was exceptional as well.

We often visit this restaurant on our trips from Denver to Gunnison. Last Sunday, we experienced an unusually long wait because there was only one chef and one server on duty. However, both of them were courteous and worked efficiently. We didn’t mind the hour-long wait since this is our favorite place. When our food finally arrived, it was just as warm and delicious as we’ve come to expect. A huge thank you to the chef and server for their hard work that day!
