Refuge Coffee - Fairhope

My wife and I each ordered a cortado, and we were impressed by both the flavor and presentation. The espresso was high quality, making it a perfect fit for the lovely setting of Fairhope.

I've visited this place a few times. The coffee presentation is stunning, but the iced lattes tend to be watery, and the espresso is frequently sour and under-extracted.

The cortado here is outstanding. The espresso shot is rich, smooth, and has a delightful chocolate flavor.

I ordered the Cortado, and it was really good and smooth. My wife tried the Orange Vanilla Decaf Cappuccino, and it had just the right amount of flavor without being overly sweet. We will definitely return when we're back in town!

Even Fredrick the Boneless needs a pick-me-up from time to time. So, I visited the Alabama of Coastal, and let me tell you, this place has the best coffee in the whole area! The charming gentleman who assisted me helped answer all my questions about the menu. My friends and I enjoyed a lavender latte—after all, purple is a royal color. It was absolutely divine, tasting like silk and dragon's milk! Huzzah! Arnold, my knight of the day, ordered a chai tea. It was good, but there was some grit at the bottom. My friends and I will definitely return to make that wonderful fellow one of my knights. Sorry, Arnold, but he’ll be the knight of the day every day!
