Trattoria Martone - Fairfield

Always welcomed when I come in by the family and employees. Service is always consistent and the food always tastes incredible. While I love their Italian dishes and pizzas, their non-italian foods are amazing as well. Plenty of good wines to choose from as well and great desserts.

The very first thing you must order off the menu is the Truffle Skinny Fries. These are freakin' amazing!!! I couldn't leave them alone lol. Go get some!

Genuinely an amazing place. The service staff is SO friendly (shoutout to Tina who is a delight! and the food is INCREDIBLE. I had the ravioli and it was scrumptious with a divine white sauce. The calamari app- also perfect. The chef is Italian as is much of the wait staff. Wonderful place! Make a reservation and do not be swayed by the industrial park location. This place is worth a stop!

You know how sometimes you read reviews of a place and they 're great and then you get there and you think not so much ? Well this ISN 'T that. This is one of those wonderful occasions where the reviews were great (which got us there) and the experience was even better. Wow. Let 's start with the parts that you might find off putting. Curb appeal. No. It 's in an industrial/office park setting. Inside ambiance. No. It 's pleasant and clean but very ordinary bordering on boring. Now let 's talk about what really matters in a restaurant review. The food. Oh, the food. Amazing. Everything is prepared fresh and it shows. Calamari as an appetizer was perfect. Tender with just enough breading. My wife had Zuppa di Pesce that was phenomenal. I had a chicken Marsala dish that was equally amazing. Panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert were both clearly made in house and were both excellent. The food was simply superb. Service? Equally superb. Tina took care of us and she was delightful. Very engaging, clearly a fan of the restaurant as she was well versed about all the dishes. Attentive service without being over bearing. In general on a scale of 1-10 she was an 11. I can 't recommend this restaurant highly enough. This was definitely a case of don 't be fooled by the (somewhat baffling) location and generic appearance. Looking for absolutely great Italian?
